Our MSc in Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment will give you the tools you need to solidify the knowledge you have gained in your PGCert and PGDip Health Economics for Health Care Professionals.

This course will give you a comprehensive knowledge of health economics, which you can apply directly to the problems you face in the workplace.

Course content
In this course, you will complete three modules to the value of 20 credits each. These will be combined with the modules you completed for your PGCert and PGDip Health Economics for Health Care Professionals to make the 180 credits you need to obtain the Masters qualification.

You’ll study three 20 credit modules.

Assessing the Impact of Medical Technologies on Health (20 credits)
Further Methods for Outcome Measurement (20 credits)
Decision Analysis for Health Technology Assessment (20 credits)

Please note, modules may change to reflect the latest academic thinking and expertise of our staff.

Teaching location
As this is a distance learning course, you will be able to complete much of the work you need to do for each module in your own home or workplace.

Residential workshops
The two-day residential workshops that we offer will take place on Campus West at the University of York.

Assessment and feedback
Your modules will be assessed through open exams.

This is a Continuing Professional Development course and is designed for those who are already employed.
